Owning a smartphone has become quite expensive. With data plans, texting cost and additional lines your smartphone bill can easily jump up over $100 a month. Below is a list of the top free apps that can help you earn money while using them. Now keep in mind that these Apps are probably not going to make me a $1,000 a day. But if you’re persistent you could easily receive $5 to $20 payouts on a regular basis. Which if applied right can help you cut into your monthly cell phone bill or at least pay for that high priced App you really wanted but were to cheap to buy.
Gigwalk alerts users that task or better known as “gigs” are available in a specific geographic area using GPS. Users complete these task and are then paid via paypal. Gigs pay anywhere between $2 and $90 and consist of various things such as picture taking, product inventory etc. The gigwalk app utilizes Google maps to direct users to the gigs location.
The Gigwalk app pays its users to perform certain task or “gigs” throughout various cities and locations in a specified amount of time. Companies such as TomTom are typically the ones posting gigs to be completed by users who they will then pay and agreed upon amount through paypal once completed. Things as simple as taking photos of items or places, completing surveys or auditing inventory in a retail store can be posted as gigs. Once the GigWalk app is downloaded and the user signs up the app identifies gigs in your area based on your GPS location. After the user accepts the gig they are given a time limit to complete the task, typically 2 days. After finishing the task and submitting the information via the gigwalk app the user is paid directly through paypal.
The Ibotta app is a free mobile app that allows it’s users to earn money for learning about particular products and then going and purchasing those products at participating retailers. Consumers who use the Ibotta app have the option of completing surveys about products, reading a recipe, taking a poll or liking the companies facebook page. Viggle allows users to “check in” when watching a TV show from a list of programs on their app. By loading up the app and letting it listen to the program you are watching it verifies the program and “checks you in”. The app that pays you back! Checkpoint is a mobile app on both the Iphone and Android platform that awards users points by scanning products in stores using their smartphone.
Imagine this, as you walk into a store and open up the checkpoints app. It then shows you all the items available to you to scan with the apps barcode scanner. Once you’ve scanned the products barcode you are taken to a game for that items specific brand. Finish the game earn the points and coins to redeem you rewards. Users even have the option to scan featured items in order to earn additional points. The points you earn can be used to redeem stuff like airline miles, Amazon and Itunes gift cards along with restaurants as well. The checkpoint app can be used in stores such as supermarkets, electronic stores and pharmacies. It is currently in millions of retail store locations.
